Nido jugs & carafes
She used computer technology to generate the 3D models she needs to make her moulds. The drawing programme’s construction lines fascinated her so much that she made grateful use of them to develop various patterns. Using only very fine porcelain fired at high temperatures allows for such complex shapes and structures to be made. That is why bone china was chosen. Furthermore, thanks to the translucency of this type of porcelain, the patterns are more effective. She deliberately chose several patterns, which are very well combined, to break from classic white tableware.

When designing Nido, Ann first took into account the stackability of its shapes, an absolute must for the hospitality industry. She also designed a traditional round plate with a generous diameter so that the chef has a surface large enough to present a complete dish.

For the finishing, for the most part, she chose a translucent glaze that highlights the character of the flawless white porcelain. Some pieces are also finished with jade-green celadon.

With Nido, Ann Van Hoey designed playful, contemporary tableware in the tradition of high-quality bone china tableware, accompanied by much craftsmanship. By combining different patterns, a fresh collection has been created, all of which fit wonderfully together and form a beautiful whole.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0706/1834/9889/collections/Nido_by_Ann_Van_Hoey_0fcc9e7a-7a6c-4a8f-88a5-d9933f0961bc.jpg?v=1709046181
https://serax-staging.myshopify.com/en-ch/collections/nido-by-ann-van-hoey-dinnerware-jugs-carafes.oembed
